Mike Halleran was born in Boston but grew up in Kansas. A graduate of Washburn University Law School (May 1995), Mike also holds a master's degree in American history (Kansas 1989). With a practice emphasizing collections law, he has represented both governmental and private clients in tax collection, criminal restitution and Chapter 60 and 61 actions for recovery of debt. Among his many interests, he is a freelance writer and a practicing historian. His first book, The Better Angels of Our Nature: Freemasonry in the American Civil War, published by the University of Alabama Press, is currently available in bookstores nationwide.
